The American Pika definitely is a cute animal.  We might not expect to find this small ball of fur perched on a branch ( like a bird), though this unique and strong pika would climb the branch to get a better view of her kingdom.
 
This pika's territory and home are in a shaded, moss-covered talus slope.  Trees and branches from up slope fall and collect on the rocky talus.
