The ice was begginning to melt on Jackson Lake in May. Instead of life, filled with turbulent waves, we set out onto the partially frozen lake using two kayaks. The calm waters were ice cold and pods of ice crystals made the sound of breaking glass, as we slowly moved through their wake. Like feathers floating in the wind, we paddled in slow motion, sun, and magic in our eyes.
